Wastewater Treatment

75th Street Wastewater Treatment Facility

                                                                               4049 N. 75th Street
Boulder, CO 80301

Wastewater from the community's sanitary sewer systems is collected at the Wastewater Treatment Facility, where it is sent through a 20-hour, multi-stage treatment process. The treatment process disinfects harmful bacteria, viruses and protozoa. The facility essentially recycles used water and returns it to nature by discharging treated wastewater back into Boulder Creek. The facility currently treats an average of 12.5 million gallons of wastewater per day!

The Industrial Pretreatment Program is located at the city's wastewater treatment facility.
