Report a Code Violation

Planning and Development Services (P&DS) investigates code violations and concerns related to:

To report a P&DS code violation, fill out the P&DS Report a Violation Form or call 303-441-1880. 
You can also search for a summary of enforcement activity by property.

The following codes are enforced by the Boulder Police Department:

  • Noise
  • Special trash service  
  • Weeds  
  • Sidewalk snow removal
  • Wood burning

Complainant Information
It is the policy of the City of Boulder not to distribute complainant information to the general public. Complainant information may be provided to other investigative agencies, the city attorney, and the courts. Those entities may release complainant information to the defendant upon request or to other parties as required by law. A city enforcement agent may contact you for clarifications regarding the complaint. If a summons is issued for the violation, you may be contacted to testify in court.
