Feb. 4, 2013 - City of Boulder News BriefsMedia Contact: City of Boulder News Briefs Senior Services Spring 2013 Magazine now available The Boulder Senior Services Spring 2013 magazine is now available at the West Senior Center, 909 Arapahoe Ave., and the East Senior Center, 5660 Sioux Drive, or can be viewed online at www.boulderseniorservices.com. Registration for spring programs by fax, online or in person begins on Tuesday, Feb. 12, for Encore members, and Thursday, Feb. 14, for all others. Phone registration begins Friday, Feb. 15. Anyone age 55 or older is welcome to enroll in programs, and city residents age 60 and older are eligible for Senior Resources consultations. New workshop and seminar offerings for spring include:
Senior Resources offers individualized consultation and resource referrals. Call the resource line at 303-441-4388 to learn about what’s available to adults age 60 and older, as well as their families, such as phone consultations, home visits, assessments, financial assistance applications, and family meetings. Programs include bilingual case management, money management bill payer assistance, caregiver support groups, paperwork organization assistance, and educational seminars. Staff can help you clarify needs, understand options, maneuver application processes, balance care giving with your personal life and develop a plan of action. Both the East and West Senior Centers have rooms of various sizes that are available for rent for an event, party or meeting. Second annual Boulder Public Library Children’s Book Sale begins Feb. 15 Boulder Public Library will host its second annual Children’s Book Sale Friday, Feb. 15, through Sunday, Feb. 17, at the Main Library, 1001 Arapahoe Ave. Books will be sold for 25 cents each, or five books for $1. In addition, there will be some children’s collectibles for sale. Proceeds from the sale will go toward purchasing new Children’s Library materials.
