Is an application required?
Yes. Resumes may be submitted in addition to an application; however, an application is required for each position for which you apply. Police jobs require a police application only.
To apply using our online job application, you will need to create an account and select a Username and Password. For additional instructions please review the Online Employment Application Guide. After your account has been established, you can build an application by clicking on the "Build Job Application" link. This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening.

Do I need to submit an application for each job I am applying for?
Yes.

To whom do I address my cover letter?
Dear Hiring Manager or To Whom It May Concern. We do not provide the hiring manager's name until the point of interview.

What does "Continuous" mean? When will a decision be made?
Applications are accepted until the hiring manager believes there is an adequate pool of applicants.

When will I be contacted?
Applicants are generally notified by phone if they have been selected for an interview. Applicants who are not selected are notified by mail by the hiring department after the position has been filled. Since each department schedules its own interviews and notifies applicants of rejections, time frames may vary depending upon departmental needs and priorities.

Where can I check on the status of a position I applied for?
Applicants should log-in to their NEOGOV account and click on the Application Status tab.

How often are job announcements updated?
Job announcements are updated on an ongoing basis.
