Mapping

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is integral to the Urban Resources management plan. We track and monitor the locations and growth of noxious weeds and prairie dogs over time by combining aerial maps with a database. Having the ability to view the growth or reduction of species allows us to see how well our management practices are working and change our control techniques if necessary.
