ANALYSIS, MAPS AND REPORTS Link to the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan Trends Report

As part of the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan Update, the City of Boulder and Boulder County are conducting extensive research about the community. This includes demographic and economic research, projections of future population, job and housing growth, and in-depth looks at topics such as transportation and environmental sustainability.

The 2015 Community Profile pdf is a quick summary of this research, and the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan 2015 Update Trends Report pdf is an in-depth look.

The Land Use Map pdf shows the current land use designations for properties in the Boulder Valley.

SUBCOMMUNITY FACT SHEETS Map of subcommunities

Subcommunities are distinct areas within the City of Boulder and the portions of unincorporated Boulder County that are in the Boulder Valley planning area. Physical features such as roads and parks form their boundaries. More information can be found on the Comprehensive Planning, Policy & Design web page.

During this update, the city and county are exploring whether creating more subcommunity or area plans will benefit the community, and the Listening Sessions were organized around the subcommunities.

Each subcommunity fact sheet contains detailed information such as demographic and housing data. They also have the existing and future land use maps and historic profiles of the area.
