Transportation Division received the Gold Award in the Municipal Streets and Intersections Category (for projects less than 30,000 square yards)
  • 2007 Officer of the Year - Master Police Officer John Smith by the Colorado Law Enforcement Officers' Association
  • 2007 Law Enforcement Partner of the Year - Detective Nathan Vasquez by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration 
  • Gold Award for Bicycle Friendly Communities program annually evaluated and awarded by the League of American Bicyclists
  • 2007 Colorado Award for Engineering and Construction Management for Medium-Sized Communities  for the Transportation Division for its engineering and construction management efforts for the Foothills Parkway (SH 157) and Arapahoe Avenue (SH 7) Transportation Improvements Project. Given by the American Public Works Association (APWA).
  • 2007 Exemplary Human Environment Initiative National Award from Federal Highway Administration for 28th Street Project Baseline to Arapahoe
