Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit

Help Boulder kids today.
Help yourself to a tax credit in April.

We appreciate your interest in helping young children in Boulder. The Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit Program provides a state tax credit for contributions made to a qualifying child care organization or fund.  The City of Boulder Family Services Child Care Subsidy Program qualifies for the Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit.  You may be able to claim an income tax credit of 50 percent of your total contribution even if you don't have children.

Your donation gives kids access to quality child care

The City of Boulder has on average the fourth highest child care cost of any community in Colorado. As a result moderate- to low-income families face challenges in finding and affording quality care. Quality care is important for the critical development which happens during early childhood. Your individual or business contribution to the City's Child Care Subsidy Program provides financial assistance to help eligible, moderate-to low-income families pay for quality child care and make care more accessible.

How to donate

Making a donation is easy! Find the donation form in the links box to the right. Fill it out and return to the address on the form. Upon receipt of your donation we will send you the Child Care Contribution Tax Credit Certification (DR 1317) certifying your child care contribution.
