Youth Opportunities Program Grants

Human Services Banner

Due to the significant increase in Individual Fund applications in 2019, the Fund is now closed until 2020. If you have already submitted your application as of 7/11/2019, you are still eligible to submit your volunteer timesheet.

The Youth Opportunities Program offers financial support for cultural, recreational, and educational activities for City of Boulder resident middle and high school age youth through grants to individual youth and to agencies. All grants must serve City of Boulder resident middle school and high school youth only.

Community Grants

Annual Grant

Annual grants are awarded on a competitive basis to youth-serving programs utilizing a positive youth development approach which target young people and, as much as possible, are designed with their input.

The Youth Opportunities Program Annual Grants application is now available. Please see the below documents to apply; applications are due to [email protected] by Friday, March 15,2019 at 4PM.

Group Activities Fund

  • Groups of at least ten City of Boulder residents can apply for up to $3,000 to help pay for a cultural, educational, or recreational activity in Colorado
  • Application deadline is the 15th of each month from August through May

Grants for Individual Youth

Individual Fund

  • City of Boulder resident youth can apply for up to $400 to help pay for a cultural, educational or recreational activity in Colorado.
  • If funded, youth complete five hours of volunteer service for every $100 they receive (20 hours = $400).
  • The Individual Grant Program is now available!  Due to the increased request level to $400, we have fewer grants to provide and therefore will be shortening the request window. Please reach out to Brandon Blew with any questions (720-498-2482, [email protected]).
