Greenways along Boulder Creek      Greenways Habitat Photo

The City of Boulder's Greenways system is comprised of a series of corridors along riparian areas of Boulder Creek and its 14 tributaries. The purpose of the Greenways Program is to extend the stewardship of the City of Boulder to these important riparian areas. The Greenways Program manages these areas through the guidance of the following six program objectives:

  • environmental protection;
  • wetland habitat restoration;
  • water quality enhancements;
  • preservation of cultural resources;
  • flood mitigation; and
  • storm drainage improvements.
