GO Boulder

Since 1989, GO Boulder has been working to create an innovative and balanced transportation system to sustain the quality of life valued by Boulder residents, employees and visitors. GO Boulder creates and promotes "Great Options" for transportation to increase the travel choices available to our community.

On April 24, Boulder County Public Health issued an order adopting and extending the state stay-at-home orders until May 8. Please travel safely during this time and take precautions to protect yourself, your family and our community.

Electric Buses coming for HOP

$2,407,400 was awarded from The Colorado Department of Transportation to purchase four electric buses and chargers for use in the city’s fixed-route bus service, the HOP.  Fuing comes from the FASTER Transit Grants Program and the Volkswagen Settlement – Transit Bus Replacement Program, programs administered by the CDOT Division of Transit and Rail.  The four grant-funded buses will join three electric buses anticipated to be delivered in 2021.  These seven electric buses will help advance progress in meeting the city’s recently adopted Climate Commitment and 2019 Transportation Master Plan goals calling for the HOP bus fleet to be all-electric by 2030.  Supplemental grant funding is being pursued to further offset the costs of these four electric buses and chargers, with delivery tentatively expected in 2022 – 2023.

Safe Walking and Bicycling
If you choose to walk or ride your bicycle to access essential services such as traveling to the grocery store or pharmacy, or for exercise, please practice social distancing. Stay at a distance of six feet or more from other parties. Plan your route using this interactive tool or the 2019 Bike and Pedestrian map pdf.

Boulder B-Cycle remains open, with staff regularly disinfecting all stations. B-Cycle is also offering 90 minutes to cruise with an annual Republic Rider pass instead of 60 minutes.

The HOP bus is currently operating on a normal schedule, however, if you need to travel for essential services, we ask all riders to follow social distancing rules and stay at least six feet behind the driver.

RTD, which operates all other Boulder bus routes, is currently operating as scheduled for essential travel. Please limit time spent in stations to 10 minutes and, as often as possible, keep 6 feet between yourself and other passengers. A service reduction plan will take effect April 19. View routes and schedules on the RTD website.
