Community Cleanup Day 2018
Community Cleanup Day has been postponed. Please see information below.
16th Annual Community Cleanup Day (#BoulderCCD)
Due to severe weather and possibility of flash flooding in Boulder, the community cleanup day has been postponed. We will work with our partners and community groups to reschedule Cleanup Day as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding, and please be careful, especially near creeks and drainageways, during rain events.
Join City of Boulder, Boulder City Improvement Association II (BCIA2), and your neighbors for the 16th annual Community Cleanup Day.
Each year, hundreds of volunteers rally together to get the city ready for summer. City-hosted projects include trail and pathway maintenance, tree plantings, park beautification and creek cleanups. City staff and volunteer captains will provide volunteers with materials and instructions to make the day productive and fun. It is a great, family-friendly way to give back while mingling with other Boulderites. Click on the City- and Partner-hosted Projects tab below for more details and to register.
NEW THIS YEAR! We invite you to gather your neighbors and bring Community Cleanup Day into your own neighborhood. Design and implement the project that will make the most impact. City of Boulder’s Neighborhood Services will support you with latex gloves, trash-bags and some snacks for your crew. And we’ll reimburse up to $300 of project expenses. Click on the Neighborhood Projects tab below for more information and to register.

Baseline and Broadway II, landscape (8 a.m. to noon): Get ready to dig in to the dirt and help brighten up the landscape around Baseline and Broadway. Participants will be provided with all the supplies they need to clean up this heavily trafficked area.
Baseline and 28th Street (8 a.m. to noon): Help pick up trash and generally cleanup the underpasses, including preparing the beds for spring by raking leaves, picking up trash and weeding.
Boulder Creek (10 a.m. to noon): The Adopt-a-Creek team from Rocky Mountain Anglers is hosting a creek cleanup to help get the creek and bike path ready for heavy use this summer. All volunteers will be invited for a free BBQ after their clean-up efforts.
Boulder Public Library (1 to 4 p.m.): Come help the Main Library sparkle with a little spring cleaning: dust and tidy the shelves, wipe down the baby books, give our tables and chairs a little TLC. Our community will thank you for your help in sprucing up their space. The Library is looking for approximately 10 volunteers to help with this project.
Columbia Cemetery Iris Care (9 a.m. to noon): Help keep the irises along Columbia Cemetery beautiful and happy. Volunteers will join forces to weed the Irises along the fence of this historic cemetery located at 9th and College.
Columbia Cemetery Tree Planting (9 a.m. to noon): Volunteers will be planting 20 diverse tree species throughout Columbia Cemetery.
East Boulder Community Park (9 a.m. to noon): Help with the annual spring cleaning of East Boulder Community Park. Volunteers will get a workout as they rake leaves, picking up trash, and mulch the shrub beds throughout the park.

Scott Carpenter Park (9 a.m. to noon): Help park staff get the one of Boulder's busiest parks ready for the summer foot traffic. We will weed and mulch shrub beds, rake leaves, pick up trash, weed parking lot medians, prune vegetation inside of the pool area, paint the playground structure and paint over graffiti.
Skunk Creek Underpass (9 a.m. to noon): Join a team to help with a cleanup of the underpass and surrounding area. Participants will be provided disposable gloves, trash tongs and bag, brooms, shovels and more. Event is located at Broadway behind Goodwill in the Basemar Center.
