Winning names will be featured on city snowplows and winners will have the opportunity to take a photo with the snowplow they named.
How it works
- Students in grades K-5 can submit their snowplow names (with a parent or guardian’s permission) at bit.ly/3Db2rdw by Friday, Oct.14, 2022.
- 10 names will be selected as winners.
- Winners will be notified via their parent or guardian’s contact information by Friday, Oct. 21, 2022.
In 2021, the city’s first-ever snowplow naming contest saw more than 200 entries. The contest was open to Boulder elementary-age students, and magnets with the winning names, such as Darth Blader and Super Scooper, were featured on 10 city snowplows last winter.
“Naming the city’s snowplows is a fun way to engage younger community members with city services,” said City of Boulder Business Services Supervisor Rene Lopez. “We saw strong participation in this program last year and are thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity once again.”
