Body of a Deceased Adult Female Located in East Boulder Pond
Body of a deceased adult female located in East Boulder pond
Boulder police were contacted at 12:58 p.m., today after a family member became concerned that their loved one did not show up for a scheduled doctor’s appointment. The family member knew that earlier in the day their loved one had planned to go fishing in the East Boulder pond adjacent to the East Boulder Dog Park, located at 5440 Sioux Dr.
Police searched the area and located a fishing pole partially submerged in the water and a chair nearby. While the Boulder Fire-Rescue Dive Team searched the pond, a drone from the Boulder Police Department simultaneously conducted an aerial search. Two K-9’s from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office were on scene to assist officers with a ground search.
At approximately 1:34p.m., members of the dive team located the body of an adult female in the pond. The woman was transported to Boulder Community Health where she was pronounced deceased.
The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the victim pending positive identification and notification to the family. Foul play is not suspected.
