On Tuesday, June 11, at approximately 6:27 p.m., Boulder police were notified that a bicyclist crashed in the area of 28th and Canyon Boulevard.

The victim is a 43-year-old white male. At the time of the crash, he was wearing a yellow t-shirt and brown cargo shorts. The bicycle is child-sized red BMX. The man was transported to Boulder Community Health with serious injuries.

A witness noticed a silver 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan near the cyclist just before the crash. There is no indication, at this time, that the vehicle made contact with the cyclist, however the incident is being investigated by the Boulder Police Department Traffic Unit.  Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Austin Willmes at 720-403-0050.
