Boulder Police Looking for Additional Victims in Sexual Assaults; Suspect Arrested
Boulder Police are looking for additional victims in connection to sexual assaults that occurred during licensed massages at businesses in the city and county of Boulder.
Matthew Mandel, 50, was arrested on Dec. 23, 2020 on charges of sexual assault and unlawful sexual contact stemming from incidents that occurred between April 2019 and September 2019. Detectives are concerned there may be other victims who have not yet reported incidents to law enforcement.
Mandel, pictured below, was a licensed massage therapist whose license was suspended by the state of Colorado in January 2020 after receiving complaints. He has worked in at least three businesses in Boulder County: Massage Specialists, Colorado Athletic Club, and Bodywork for Liberation in Lafayette. He may have worked at other businesses as well.
According to complaints, Mandel engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior with female clients during the massages.

All charges are simply an accusation by law enforcement officers, and any arrested party must be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
