City Council Emergency Meeting on Monday, March 16

On March 15, Mayor Sam Weaver called for an emergency City Council meeting Monday, March 16, 2020, to consider ratifying the declaration of a state of emergency in Boulder relative to the novel coronavirus outbreak in Colorado. The meeting will take place at 5 p.m. in Council Chambers, 1777 Broadway. Members of the public can watch the meeting live on Boulder 8 TV or online at bouldercolorado.gov/boulder8

Council will begin with discussion of the emergency ordinance proposed by the city attorney allowing call-in participation by the public as well as council members. If that measure passes, council will then connect with any council members who are not physically present and discuss further measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our community. If council completes that, then at the will of council, it may consider any business which had been scheduled for our regular City Council meeting on March 17.
