City of Boulder Invite Community Members to Share Their Hopes and Dreams for Policing
Policing is at a crossroads; help us take advantage of this unique time and opportunity to reimagine policing in Boulder by sharing your hopes and dreams about the future of policing in our community.
The Boulder Police Department is working to make significant changes in the midst of local and national discussions around the need for reform in policing. Part of this work includes updating the department’s master plan, which will serve as a vision for the future setting forth goals on how the police department will serve the community.
This planning process includes an in-depth examination of community input, integration of the city’s racial equity planning and data-driven strategies to review current operations in the context of changing conditions and determine future policing goals and strategies. The resulting document will be used as the roadmap for creating meaningful changes to public safety in Boulder.
The perspectives of all community members are vitally important to reimaging policing in Boulder. Please help us reimagine policing by sharing your values, hopes and concerns online at https://www.beheardboulder.org/reimagine-policing or at a virtual community forum.
