City of Boulder Parking and Access Services Requiring Appointments for in-Person Transactions for Two Weeks Beginning Sept. 23, 2020

Customers are encouraged to use the online parking portal for permit requests and renewals

The City of Boulder’s Community Vitality Department will temporarily change the operation of the parking and access services office to require appointments for in-person transactions for the next two weeks effective Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020.

During this time, the parking and access customer service team will not be accepting any walk-up customers and will continue to offer regular service over the phone, via email, or through the City of Boulder online parking portal. This temporary service change will last from Sept. 23 through Oct. 7, 2020 at which time conditions will be re-evaluated. The City of Boulder Parking and Access webpage will be updated with any changes to service operations thereafter.

“The safety of community members and our staff is our primary concern and while local increased cases are isolated, we want to ensure that we operate with safety as a primary consideration” said Cris Jones, deputy director of Community Vitality. “With many of our services available online and with staff being able to provide excellent customer service via appointments, by phone or email, we are implementing this temporary change reflecting our continued prioritization of community and staff safety in the ongoing pandemic.”

As part of the city’s continued service enhancements, customer online options have been greatly enhanced over the past year. As such, the front desk’s staffed hours are also being adjusted permanently for consistency and efficiency in processing online requests. The new hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Customers may schedule an appointment for service that requires an in-person visit by emailing [email protected], or calling 303-413-7300.
  • Customers can purchase, refill, or renew Neighborhood Parking Permit Program (NPP) permits, 20 Day Passes, or Cash Passes online by using the City of Boulder parking portal.

For more information or questions regarding the portal, please e-mail [email protected] or call 303-413-7300.
