Community Invited to Meet City Transportation & Mobility Director
The City of Boulder today invited community members to meet its new Transportation and Mobility director Jan. 9
Carlos Hernandez begins his new position as Transportation and Mobility director Jan. 13, 2020. The community is invited to meet Hernandez Jan. 9 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The meet and greet reception will be held in the lobby of the Municipal Building, 1777 Broadway. Light refreshments will be served.
Hernandez brings more than 20 years of experience implementing complete streets, regional transit and multimodal transportation systems. He previously partnered with the community and City of Boulder staff on the Chautauqua Access Management Plan, East Arapahoe Transportation Plan and the 30th and Colorado Corridor study. He also worked for a decade with advocacy organizations, City of Denver staff and neighborhood groups to implement the Denver Moves Mobility Plan, neighborhood-based vision zero plans and high capacity transit projects in downtown Denver.
Hernandez is a certified planner (AICP) and transportation planner (CTP). As Boulder’s Transportation and Mobility director, Hernandez will oversee transportation planning and operations, project management, transportation maintenance and airport operations.
