Friday, Oct. 25
The annual Halloween Carnival is a community-wide, family-friendly event held at the South Boulder Recreation Center Gymnasium on Oct. 26 from 3 to 5 p.m. All ages are welcome at the event, but the carnival is intended for visitors ages 3 to 8. Children under 3 are free, as are adults. All other children are $5 each, which includes all the activities at the Halloween Carnival, including crafts, face painting, carnival games and more.

Movies @ Meadows: Hotel Transylvania
Friday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. at Meadows
October's movie is Hotel Transylvania, rated PG, 1 hour 32 minutes. Pizza and or popcorn will be served.
Saturday, Oct 12, 11 a.m. @ Reynolds & 3 p.m. @ Meadows
Learn basic techniques in printmaking. Create your own spooky scene to take home! Generously sponsored by the Boulder Library Foundation. Ages 7-12
Gross Me Out at the Library
Saturday, Oct 20, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., @Main, Boulder Creek Room
Just in time for Halloween, make fake blood, fake snot and fake poop – GROSS! In the process, you may even learn a little bit about how your own body works. Registered required. Ages 8+
Family Play Festival
Saturday, Oct 26, 10 a.m. to noon @ Main
Drop-in to play, sing, read, and write at stations throughout the library Families with young children can take home crafts and win prizes. Each station includes special activities for babies.

Mad Scientist Day: Halloween Candy Experiments

Do you have what it takes to be a mad scientist? Making slime, exploding candy, erupting volcanoes – you never know where your lab coat and goggles will take you! Come ready to learn, play and explore. Generously sponsored by the Boulder Library Foundation. Ages 3 and up
Thursday, Oct. 31
Head to downtown Boulder on Thursday, Oct. 31, for this annual trick-or-treat event on and around Pearl Street. Munchkin Masquerade , held 3 to 6 p.m., features treat stops at participating businesses. Recommended for children ages 12 and under.
