Boulder Police Department Memorial:
There is currently a patrol vehicle parked outside the Boulder Police Department at 1805 33rd St. that is a receiving point for any caring notes and/or support that the public might want to leave for the Talley Family.
Any instructions provided to the media are provided in accordance with the wishes of the family. This service is to honor their loved one. We will take seriously any violations of the family’s wishes and all members of the violating organization will be required to leave the service. Our hope is that organizations will police themselves and that everything you do will be respectful to the family.
There will be one pool camera at Flatirons Community Church. This camera will be stationary, facing forward, with only minor adjustments for framing and focus. No photos or video of the family will be allowed.
Media vehicle staging (parking) will be at the southwest corner of the Flatirons Community Church parking lot (northwest corner of Waneka Parkway and W. South Boulder Road). Media staging will be on the west side of the church entrance, near the cross walks.
There will be a media briefing at 9:30 a.m. in the media vehicle staging area mentioned above.
Media cameras (other than the pool camera) will only be allowed to stage inside the media parking area or along public sidewalks. No cameras will be allowed inside the church. A good location for photos of the motorcade on Highway 7 to the church service would be on the south side of Highway 7, between Palisade Pkwy and Huron St. Please be courteous and do not park in the hospital or business parking lots. Suggested staging time is 10 a.m. No photos or video of the family will be allowed.
Reporters will be allowed to enter the ceremony as members of the public. Video and/or audio recording and still photography using cell phones or other devices will not be permitted inside the service. If you bring any bags, they must be clear/see through following the same protocols as the public.
