Off-Ramp Closure Near New Diagonal Crossing Development Project to Begin July 9
From Monday, July 9, through approximately mid-November 2018, contractors with the developer Trammell Crow Residential will be removing and rebuilding the existing off-ramp connecting Foothills Parkway and Diagonal Highway.
This construction is part of the Diagonal Crossing development project. The Site Review for the project was approved by the City of Boulder in May 2017. Once completed, there will be a mixed-use development of 357 multi-family residential units and other associated uses such as a restaurant, café, and nonprofit uses including Meals on Wheels, and Studio Arts on the property.
During this approximately four-month project, the existing off-ramp will be closed to all travel. Messages boards are in the area to notify travelers of the impending closure and detour signs will be posted beginning Monday. Travelers can also view closure details on Cone Zones. Vehicles should follow detour signs directing them north to Jay Road and then south on Foothills Parkway back to the Diagonal/Foothills off-ramp. Please see the attached map for additional details.
Rebuilding the off-ramp is intended to improve transportation access and drainage in the area. Specific changes to the off-ramp will include the installation of a large box culvert to improve drainage in the area.
