Share Your Vision: Help Create a Vibrant Future for Boulder’s Older Adults

“Community Conversations” focusing on the needs of older adults

City of Boulder Senior Services and the Boulder County Area Agency on Aging are co-sponsoring three upcoming “Community Conversations” focusing on the needs of older adults and on planning for city and county services.

These interactive conversations provide opportunities for residents to offer their opinions, concerns and suggestions about aging in Boulder and in Boulder County, and to share their vision of the future. Resident input will inform the “Age Well Boulder County” county-wide strategic plan.

Community Conversations dates, times and locations:

  • Tuesday, June 12, 3 to 5 p.m., East Boulder Senior Center, 5660 Sioux Dr.
  • Tuesday, June 19, 4 to 6 p.m., West Boulder Senior Center, 909 Arapahoe Ave.
  • Thursday, June 21, 4 to 6 p.m., West Boulder Senior Center, 909 Arapahoe Ave.

The events are open to the public; no registration needed. Reasonable accommodations will be provided upon request for persons with disabilities. Please notify the Boulder County Human Resources Division at 303-441-3508 at least 48 business hours prior to the meeting if you need special accommodations to participate.

Nationwide, the number of people over the age of 60 is expected to more than double between 2000 to 2040. Boulder County older adults will account for over 25 percent of the total county population by 2040.
