This dataset shows the mapping of mosquito larval sites in the city of Boulder. These data are used for monitoring and treatment in relation to the West Nile Virus and nuisance mosquito program. See for more information about the program.

Data includes the type of mosquito bredding each year, who owns or manages the land the site is on, and the number of years the site has bee used for monitoring. who A site is either NB (not breeding), NV (breeding non-vector mosquitos) or V (breeding vector mosquitos for West Nile Virus). A site can breen both non-vector and vector mosquitos but will be identified as V in that case.

This dataset is located in our GIS data portal which gives you access to the most current and up-to-date data possible. Through the interface, you can download the full dataset or a filtered dataset in three formats: CSV, KML, and Shapefile. If you want to connect to the data via a URL, you can find the REST or GeoJSON endpoint. The interface allows you to interact and visualize the data before downloading it.
