Walking Through History: Chautauqua

Walking through History: Chautauqua
Sat. March 17, 10:30 a.m.  –  1 p.m.

Join OSMP naturalists Deborah Cushman and David Ford for a fun moderate 3.5 mile hike that covers more than 100 years of Boulder history as we follow the trails through the park, up to Wood’s Quarry and down the Ski Jump Trail. We’ll check out some of the historic Chautauqua cottages and find the site of the old Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp.  Meet at the Chautauqua Ranger Cottage. Bring water, a snack, and strap-on traction for your footwear (like yak-tracks or micro-spikes) since trails may be very slick and icy. Follow this link for a map to the meeting place:  https://www-static.bouldercolorado.gov/docs/RCottage-1-201404071155.jpg
