City Nature Challenge: Hogback Ridge Bioblitz Hike

City Nature Challenge: Hogback Ridge Bioblitz Hike
Sun. April 29, 9 am - 1 pm

This hike is free but limited to 15. Please register here:

Between April 27 - 30, Boulder County is competing against other US cities in the City Nature Challenge! Which city can post the most species observations on the iNaturalist citizen science web page?

Join the fun with OSMP naturalist Dave Sutherland on a special nature hike to find and report plants and animals on OSMP. We’ll take a hike on the Hogback Ridge trail north of Boulder. Its prairies, pine forests and lush, wet meadows are thick with wildflowers and a haven for wildlife (we will be on special lookout for wild irises). A spectacular view awaits at the top. Bring your camera or smartphone with the iNaturalist app loaded and ready to go. This is a fairly steep and strenuous 2.8 miles with 900 foot elevation gain. Meeting location provided with your reservation confirmation email.
