Mesa Trail Full Moon Hike

Mesa Trail Full Moon Hike
Friday July 27, 5:30 - 10:30 p.m.
Join OSMP staff for a moderate but lengthy (6 mile) one-way hike down the Mesa Trail from the Flatirons at Chautauqua to the South Mesa Trailhead. Enjoy hiking through a rocky section before a beautiful sunset/moonrise and end the hike in the moonlight. Bring at least 2 liters of water, layers (it may get chilly as the sun sets), and rain gear. Also consider bringing a headlamp just in case, but expect not to use it since the moon will provide ample light.

*Logistics: This is a one-way hike so we will leave it up to the participants to shuttle, carpool, or get a ride-share/taxi back to the Ranger Cottage. We are anticipating on being back by the 11pm lot closure, but plan accordingly.
