Nature Hikes and Programs
Natural Selections is our ongoing series of educational nature programs on topics including ecology, wildlife, local history, night hikes, field workshops with local artists, star-gazing, children’s programs, plus many more. All programs are free and open to the public. Please do not bring dogs except for special dog-guardian hikes.

Upcoming Nature Hikes & Programs
@ 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Join Ranger Gretchen Bolivar to learn about the resident bald eagles of the Boulder area. ~
@ 1 to 3 p.m.
Imagine being a wild turkey with naturalist Debora Martin. Learn to strut and gobble while you hike through a lovely ponderosa pine forest. Ages 5+.
@ 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Kids and parents can enjoy story books read aloud, then explore nature on a short easy hike with magnifying glasses. Give thanks to the season!
@ 12 to 2 p.m.
This program is best for children who have never fished or have limited fishing experience. Equipment and bait will be provided.
@ 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Parents and grandparents can learn fun tips and tricks for engaging young children in nature. Learn from seasoned nature mamas!
@ 1 to 3 p.m.
Kids ages 5 and up can learn about the lives of Boulder's mule deer through fun activities, imagination and hands-on games.
@ 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
You can bring your dog on this fairly easy hike to Woods Quarry while you get a crash course in OSMP's history!
