OSMP Master Plan Process Committee
OSMP Master Plan Process Committee Members
The Boulder City Council and the Open Space Board of Trustees (OSBT) have each chosen two of their members to be part of the process committee created to help guide the planning process and community engagement effort for the OSMP Master Plan. Process committee members are: Curt Brown (OSBT), Tom Isaacson (OSBT), Mary Young (City Council) and Aaron Brockett (City Council).
Purpose of the Committee
The purpose of the committee is to engage decision-makers in developing, supporting and ensuring best practices relating to the overall planning process and public engagement for OSMP’s first system-wide master plan. This committee is modeled on a process committee created to support the recent update to the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan (BVCP). Members of the committee include two members from the City Council and two members from the Open Space Board of Trustees (OSBT).
Discussion of policy issues or plan content will not be part of this committee’s purview. The full OSBT and City Council will advise, review and decide on content and policy. Rather, the role of process committee members will be to participate in shaping an inclusive and collaborative process that facilitates meaningful exchange with a diverse range of partners, groups and individuals, including those typically underrepresented in public processes.
Meetings are now being held in the OSMP Hub South Community Room, 2520 55th Street.
