The Pines of Boulder – Classical Music Nature Hike

The Pines of Boulder – Classical Music Nature Hike
Sat. April 22, 9:30 – 11:30 am EARTH DAY!
Limit: 20 participants, please register here: https://pines_earthday.eventbrite.com

Later tonight, April 22, the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Ottorino Respighi’s stirring composition The Pines of Rome as part of their Season Finale Concert. Get a sneak peek at the music ahead of the concert, and learn amazing stuff about the Pines of Boulder with Open Space and Mountain Parks naturalist Dave Sutherland. We’ll use the music as a starting point to explore our local ponderosa pines: we will look for forest animals, find spectacular spring wildflowers, and learn how fire and pine beetles shape the lives of trees. The nature hike is free and open to the public but limited to 20 participants.
