The Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2018 kick-off concert showcases Gustav Holst’s glorious work The Planets . Take a pre-concert tour of the solar system through a large telescope with City of Boulder Open Space naturalist Dave Sutherland while sampling excerpts from this stirring music. After seeing the moons of Jupiter, the rings of Saturn, the polar caps of Mars, and distant Uranus and Neptune, you will be fully prepared to enjoy the concert like an expert! The Boulder Philharmonic concert will be performed in Macky Auditorium on the CU campus at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 13, and at the Pinnacle Performing Arts Complex at 2 pm on Oct. 14. For more information and tickets, please visit  

The theme of the Boulder Philharmonic’s 2018-19 season is  Open Space , drawing on Boulder’s iconic natural surroundings to offer extraordinary music. What better way to reflect Boulder’s history, our care for this land, and the beauty we find here? This season’s concerts will explore expansive new spaces and help us rediscover places we loved long ago.
