Coordinating a Rescue – Mallory Cave

Coordinating a Rescue – Mallory Cave
Saturday October 27, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Ever wondered what to do if you had to coordinate an emergency response on OSMP lands? Join OSMP First Responders Jasmine Sim (Ranger) and David Ford (Recreation Coordinator) for an empowering hike up to Mallory Cave to learn about tricks to keep your party safe, and how to coordinate a rescue. Perfect for the novice and experienced outdoors enthusiast alike, we’ll go over preparation of a med kit based on activity, communication with 911 dispatch, and formulating a rescue/evac plan. Bring at least 2 litres of water (required), a snack/lunch, and layers for the elements. Be prepared for wind and changing weather patterns at the top. Meet at the trailhead at NCAR.  Follow this link to a map: https://bouldercolorado.gov/osmp/national-center-for-atmospheric-research-trailhead
