Escape to White Rocks - PROGRAM FULL
Escape to White Rocks
Thursday Aug. 16, 7:30 – 11:30 a.m. Reservations open Wednesday Aug. 8 at noon.
White Rocks, an area both fragile and precious, open to the public through guided hikes. This hike will include a geology story as seen in the rocks, an exploration of several microhabitats and a short cliff-top rest stop with views of mountains and plains. Join volunteer naturalist Bev Halwa in this unique natural area, home to Ricky Weiser for many years. Bring water and food as well as sun, rain and definitely mosquito protection. Due to tall weeds along the hike, we recommend long pants, gaiters and closed shoes. This hike is free but limited to 15 people. Meeting location will be provided when you register.
If you have already been on a White Rocks hike with OSMP, please allow others the opportunity to sign up first.
