City of Boulder to Celebrate Seventh Annual Immigrant Heritage Week
The City of Boulder will mark its seventh annual Celebration of Immigrant Heritage the week of Oct. 1 through Oct. 7
Motus Theater will host a public art presentation that celebrates Immigrant Heritage Week by bringing Boulder’s immigration history to the present with archival images, historical facts and questions projected in large-scale onto the top of the Boulder County Courthouse. Boulder Asian Pacific Alliance (BAPA) will host an evening of music and dance from local Asian and Pacific Islander communities. Performers will represent a variety of Asian and Pacific Islander cultures.
Immigrants have enriched Boulder beyond measure, bringing many contributions to our community along with the unique customs and traditions of their ancestral homeland. Boulder recognizes the importance of educating the city’s population on shared immigrant histories, diverse cultures and the role these play in shaping and enriching the life of the city.
More information on the city’s annual celebration can be found at Immigrant Heritage Week.
