Division of Housing - Planning and Policy

The Division of Housing works closely with the Planning Department and other city departments to develop and implement plans and policies to further the city's housing goals.   Some recently completed projects include the adoption of the Transit Village Area Plan and the Inclusionary Housing Ordinance.

 Housing Planners review all proposed residential projects and work with developers to fulfill their Inclusionary Housing requirements.  Inclusionary Housing requires that all new residential development contribute to affordable housing.

2008 City of Boulder Affordable Housing Report:  February 2008 report
to City Council as part of the process initiated by the Department of
Housing and Human Services to review progress on the affordable housing
goals and to evaluate the current policies, programs and priorities.
