Community assistance needed with a sexual assault investigation

Boulder police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred between 11:30 p.m. on May 13 and 7:00 a.m. on May 14 in an unknown location.

During the evening leading up to the assault the victim was at the Walrus Saloon, located at 1911 11th St. She ordered a water at the bar and does not have any recollection of anything that occurred after until she woke up on the couch in a home near Boulder High School the following morning.

Boulder police would like to speak with the last known person she interacted with at the Walrus Saloon who has been deemed a person of interest. A composite sketch of that person is attached. Police would also like to speak with the man who was captured on surveillance walking with the victim at 12:57 a.m. This man is also considered a person of interest. At this time, it is unknown if the person captured on the surveillance video is the same person the victim was interacting with at the Walrus Saloon.

Anyone who may have additional information on this case should call Detective Kara Wills at 303-441-3482. Those who have information but wish to remain anonymous may contact the Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips may also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website at Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.
