Boulder police release video statement regarding the upcoming 20-year mark in the JonBenet Ramsey investigation

The Boulder Police Department today released a brief video statement from Chief Greg Testa regarding the JonBenet Ramsey investigation. Because the case is approaching a 20-year milestone, the department has been receiving a significant number of media and community inquiries. This video has been created to express the department’s continued commitment to this open case and demonstrate the level of investigation that has occurred to date, while also protecting the integrity of the ongoing investigation.

JonBenet was six years old when she was reported missing from her family home on Dec. 26, 1996.  She was later found deceased in the home.

Members of the Boulder Police Department will not be participating in interviews related to this investigation. This video may be used as the department’s official statement.
