Free classes and advance sale passes lined up at South Boulder Recreation Center Open House Sept.7
Come tour one of Boulder’s best kept fitness secrets – and workout for free! Boulder Parks and Recreation staff invite the community to attend and experience the array of classes available at South Boulder Recreation Center (SBRC) for family members of all ages.
The SBRC, located at 1360 Gillaspie Drive, is hosting an open house Wednesday, Sept. 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Come play pickleball, go for a swim, take a tour, consult with a personal trainer and try a sample fitness or dance class. Enjoy a TRX or water polo demonstration and synchronized swimming performance by 5280 Synchro. Health screenings will also be available this evening. Attendees are encouraged to arrive by bus, bike or foot and to aid in Boulder’s zero waste objectives.
Admission to the event is free and the first 35 people to walk in the door will receive their choice of a bag of tulip bulbs or a free pass to the upcoming Dog Dayz event at Scott Carpenter Pool. Additionally, participants are able to get a jump on the Boulder Parks and Recreation Fall Fitness Sale.
