Parks and Recreation Facility Closures and Re-Openings

Moving from COVID-19 response to recovery

We miss you! Boulder Parks and Recreation is working hard planning for the return of recreation facilities and programming while adhering to city and public health guidance, including requirements around physical distancing and face coverings.

Phased opening of parks and recreation facilities and amenities

The dashboard below shows closures and re-openings for recreation facilities and amenities in parks. It does not include restrooms, water fountains or passive recreation that was not closed due to COVID-19.

These facilities will remain open as long as visitors adhere to new  Safer at Home  operating protocols.

Face Coverings

As of May 9, a Boulder County order requires every person older than 12 years old to wear a face covering when in public anywhere in the county where social distancing of 6 feet cannot be maintained. We strongly encourage community members to wear face coverings in outdoor public areas such as city parks, trails and streets.
