City Council Member
Adam Swetlik is originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin; he moved to Boulder in 2006 to attend the Leeds School of Business. He graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. Adam has spent most of his time working multiple jobs in Boulder to keep up with the high cost of living. Some of these jobs include being a bouncer at the famed Walrus Saloon; the Head Coach of CU Crew, CU’s club rowing team; and a Marketing Manager for a Boulder-based open-source hardware company called SparkFun Electronics. Currently, he works as a Marketing Specialist for a local honey company called Bjorn’s Colorado Honey. Adam is dedicated to serving Boulder and helping reduce the wealth inequality that has grown to a high level within our community. After running for City Council the first time, he was appointed to Boulder’s Housing Advisory Board. He took an active role on the Board for 18 months, focusing on engaging underheard members of the community in order to find better solutions to our housing affordability issues. He also served as Chair before being elected to Boulder City Council.
