The city needs the community’s input to help shape the Area Plan! Throughout the Area Plan process, there will be a range of opportunities for the community to get involved, including online and at face-to-face events. Details for these events will be posted on this webpage and announced in the Planning Newsletter . Sign up for the Planning Newsletter today to receive bi-monthly updates.
Key communications and engagement objectives for the Area Plan:
- Clearly communicate the timeline and opportunities for meaningful engagements through easy-to-find information.
- Provide transparency throughout the process using clear processes and feedback loops.
- Create inclusivity though the process with diverse participation.
- Develop an innovative process that is creative and fun.
Community input will be shared with the Planning Board at a public hearing on August 15 and City Council at the public hearing on August 27. Council is expected to provide direction on a preferred scenario at the meeting.
