Blotter - April 6, 2019

Officers responded to the Mapleton Ball Fields after 9-1-1 call came in reporting that two men were fighting and at least one man had a weapon. Officers contacted the men who claimed to be assaulted by the other. The fight was over ownership of ‘stuff.’ Both men received a summons for Brawling. Case# 19-3632

An officer arrested a man for First Degree Assault on the bike path north of the Mapleton Ball Fields. The man was arguing with the victim over a packet of cigarettes and struck him with an aluminum baseball bat causing serious bodily injury. Case# 19-3650

An officer documented a criminal trespass to a vehicle in the 800 block of 29th Street.  The rear window of the vehicle was broken out and a backpack with a laptop and other items were taken.  Case # 18-15573

An officer arrested a man for an FTA warrant out of Westminster PD following a traffic stop on 28th St. Case# 19-3660

Officers arrested a woman for DUI, DUI Per Se, Unsafe Backing and No Proof of Insurance after she backed into a vehicle in the Outback Saloon parking lot. Case# 19-3663

Officers responded to a home in the 700 block of 11th St when the resident called in because he could hear glass breaking and someone then walking inside the residence.  An additional caller was the neighbor who also heard glass breaking at that residence. A perimeter was set up and upon arrival officers observed the front window was shattered and someone in the front room where no one should have been.  Entry was forced through the front door and a woman was quickly taken into custody. The woman was arrested for 1st Degree Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief and Underage Consumption of Alcohol. Case# 19-3666
