Blotter - August 1, 2020

Officers responded to an accident where a vehicle was traveling southbound on 30th Street and struck a large tree on the west side of the street.  The suspect fled on foot but has been identified.  Charges are pending.  20-7150

Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Julliard Street on a deceased 84-year-old woman. Nothing suspicious was noted at the scene.  The coroner's office responded.  20-7152  

A 27-year-old man was arrested for Second Degree Burglary after he broke into September School, 96 Arapahoe and took a laptop and camera.  20-7163

Officers investigated to a car versus bicycle crash at 3000 Valmont.  The vehicle was intending to turn out on Valmont, ran a stop sign and was struck by a bicyclist riding on the sidewalk. The cyclist landed on the hood, fell in front of the car and was run over.   The victim was transported to Boulder Community Health with minor injuries.  The driver of the vehicle was charged with Careless Driving Causing Bodily Injury and Failing to Yield Right of Way.  20-7165 

Boulder Community Health advised they had discharged a man who had a gun in his bag and was in the parking lot sitting on a bench.  Officers arrived and observed the man holding the gun. The 57-year-old man was issued a felony summons for Possession of a Weapon by Previous Offender and Theft.  20-7171

A 33-year-old woman was arrested after she told officers she was going to steal an ambulance sitting at 13th at College.  She sat in the driver's seat and held onto the steering wheel as officers prevented her from shutting the door.  She was charged with First Degree Criminal Trespass.  An additional Harassment charge was added after she threw water on staff at Boulder Community Health.  20-7174 and 20-7176
