Blotter-August 31, 2020

Officers responded to an unattended death at 1625 Kalmia Avenue. The adult male was found unresponsive by his wife. The male was recently tested for possible heart issues. Nothing suspicious was observed and the Sgt.'s along with the coroner were both contacted. 20-8271

Officers responded to an assault which occurred at Folsom and Glenwood. The victim, a twelve-year-old boy, riding his bicycle with a President Trump lawn sign. The suspect, a 20-30s W/F, riding a grey/blue moped, drove passed the victim and observed the sign. The suspect made a U-turn and approached the victim and began assaulting him because of his political banner.  The suspect then attempted to take the banner but was unsuccessful.  The suspect was described as a white female wearing a tan jacket, blue shirt, and blue jeans. The father of the victim was made aware of this situation. This is still under investigation. 20-8284

Officers responded to the area of Broadway and Spruce in reference to a DV/ Harassment. A young female assaulted her boyfriend following an argument while in a vehicle in front of 1221 Spruce. The female left prior to officers arrival, and after initially providing some details, the victim became reluctant to talk. Officers waited in the area, then spotted the suspect coming back to the area to reconnect with the victim. He pulled her over, and she was arrested without incident. 20-8300
