Boulder Police Investigate Bias Motivated Incident

Boulder Police Department is investigating an incident where a white male threatened a Hispanic female and two friends.

On 11/05/2019 around 08:30 a.m. a white male, approximately 30 years old, 6’0 tall, weighing about 170 lbs., threatened a Hispanic female and two of her friends. While the group was standing near the bus stop at 28 th  St and Iris Ave., the male began yelling at the female and her friends. The suspect male made several derogatory statements to the group about their ethnicity and stated he wished he had a gun. The victim and her friends walked away from the bus stop after that statement. The male did not follow them as they left.

Anyone who may have information about this case should call Detective Edward Quayle at 303-710-2868. Those who have information but wish to remain anonymous may contact the Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website at  www.crimeshurt.com . Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.
