Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

Man arrested for attempted murder

Boulder, Colo. - On Sunday, February 16 at approximately 10:00 a.m., the father of a man called to report concerns about his son being involved in a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of Euclid Avenue.  When officers arrived at the residence, a woman opened the door and had obvious injuries to her neck and face. She was transported to Boulder Community Health.

The suspect was located and surrendered to police.  He is identified as 19-year-old John Richter, DOB 6/10/2000.  Richter was arrested for First Degree Assault, Attempted Second Degree Murder, False Imprisonment and several other charges.

The case number is 20-01757.

All charges are simply an accusation by law enforcement officers, and any arrested party must be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
