Two People Arrested in Sword Incident

Police have arrested two people in connection with an incident earlier today where a man was seen chasing a person with a sword. They are identified as Cody Scott Parker, DOB 3/1/91 and Aneta Urban, DOB 1/4/80. Parker will be charged with First Degree Assault and Urban with Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Assault.

At approximately 3:30 this afternoon, Boulder Police received a call of a suspicious man with a sword in his backpack at 14th and Walnut Streets.  Shortly after, police dispatch received another call that a man was chasing someone with a sword in the area of Wells Fargo at 1242 Pearl Street. They were then seen at 14th and Canyon where an altercation ensued and the victim suffered a serious hand injury.  Parker left the area on a bicycle.  The victim was transported to Boulder Community Health.  The victim and suspects were acquainted.

The case number is 18-01500.
