The City of Boulder Food Tax Rebate program is closed for 2018. The program will re-open March 1, 2019.
Each year, the City of Boulder provides rebates to help compensate residents with lower incomes for the city sales tax they pay on food. Those seeking a rebate must fill out an application documenting their eligibility. Applications can be picked up starting March 1, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the West Boulder Senior Center, 909 Arapahoe Avenue. Application forms must be received in person by June 28, 2019 or postmarked by June 30, 2019. Applicants from 2018 will automatically receive an application in the mail.
To be eligible to receive a refund, applicants must meet financial eligibility guidelines, have been a resident of Boulder for the entire 2018 calendar year, and be:
- age 62 or over for the entire 2018 calendar year; or
- a person with a disability; or
- a family with children under 18 years of age in the household for the entire 2018 calendar year;
