Climate change is not a future event, it’s happening now. We’ve reached the point where individuals, local governments, states, and nations must act together toward common climate goals.

The State of Colorado’s goal is to reduce its greenhouse emissions by 50% by 2030. The City of Boulder and Via Mobility Services recently received three electric buses manufactured by Proterra for use on the HOP bus route. Via operates the HOP under a contract with the city. Boulder and Via will electrify the entire HOP fleet by 2030 and charge it with renewable, solar energy. Additionally, the Boulder Valley School District is receiving an electric school bus the week of March 1st, and CU Boulder will receive two electric buses in 2022.

We will be joined by panelists from the City of Boulder, Via, BVSD, and CU Boulder to talk about the collective environmental impacts of using electric transit buses with net-zero emissions to help Colorado reach its 2030 climate goal.

Registration is required and all are welcome.
